Today was her big day!

I had the absolute honor of having Cady in spa for a facial, a back treatment, and a spray tan in the weeks leading up to me doing her makeup today. As I joked with her and her sister (another fav client of mine who I’ve seen a lot of recently): what are we doing next week?!

Our summer necessities!
🍍 Bio Enzyme Cleanser contains 20% Vitamin C, Pineapple & Papaya Enzymes, Vitamin E, and Aloe. It smells like summer, can be used morning and night, and is lash-extension & makeup-removal safe!

Let’s talk Bridal Trials 👰🏻‍♀️ (skip to number 3 for the TL; DR version of these photos)

Trials with me are optional for brides but can serve lots of important purposes!

1. It gives us a chance to meet and get to know each other a little bit before I’m a part of your big day! Some people are cool rollin’ with it and/or have enough sense of my vibe through my social media, personal referrals, and/or because they see me for other services.

2. If you lean strongly one way or the other when it comes to makeup, it can help you decide if you even want to hire someone for your wedding. By that I mean if you NEVER wear makeup, a trial can help you decide if you’re even going to be comfortable with makeup and/or how much makeup you are comfortable with. Conversely, if you are a regular makeup wearer and have a specific way you do your makeup, having someone else do it for your wedding may be more stressful than if you just did it yourself.

3. If you aren’t sure what style you want to go with, a trial can let us play a little bit! Sometimes I’ll suggest to people that they go bolder on their trial because it’s easy to trust a subtler version on the wedding day if you decide you don’t want that super dark eye or pop of color on your lip. In Cady’s case, she brought inspiration pictures that were pretty similar except for the eyes. In one photo, she noted that she loved the white liner underneath. Another photo had a similar eye except it was shadowy underneath. Since she didn’t mind walking around lopsided, we did one eye in each style. Initially, she was shocked at how much she liked the darker under eye and thought that was what she’d go with. I encouraged her to wear the makeup all day and to take pictures in different lighting, etc. to see how she felt about each as the day progressed. We were both a little surprised when she messaged the next day saying she actually preferred the light under eye as the day went on, but I think it was a great choice to keep that bright look she ultimately wanted.
