When the calico has faded and you’re ready for something darker, richer, and moodier. 🍷🖤
We transformed her canvas into this gorgeous burgundy with dark dimension and a soft blonde face frame. Definitely one of those transformations you have to swipe back and forth on. 😍

Okayyyy but THIS transformation?! 💜 Took her from grown-out and warm to a deep, dimensional purple dream ✨
Color corrections like THISSS are why I love what I do 😭🤌🏼✨
We started with faded blue + lime green and quite a bit of breakage from her hair history before coming to me, so I knew immediately we were going to play it SAFE. Getting to blonde was the goal, but keeping the hair on her head was the priority. 😂🤍
First up: Malibu DDL XL + 20 vol for 30 minutes to pull out as much of that stubborn vivid as we could. Then we carefully did one round of Joico Charcoal Lightener + 10 vol. A few tiny blue pieces decided they paid rent and weren’t leaving 😂, so instead of pushing her compromised hair any further, we formulated around them!
✨ Root + lowlights: Matrix 5N + 6N + 7NA
✨ Brighter pieces: Matrix 9N + 8N + 8AG + a squeeze of Pulp Riot Icy
And somehow we went from 💙💚 MERMAID to 🤎🤍 soft dimensional blonde in ONE appointment?!
The goal with a correction isn’t always perfection in one session—it’s knowing what the hair can handle, protecting what we have, and creating something BEAUTIFUL along the way. 🥹

From faded blue + lime green to THIS dimensional blonde?! 😮💨🤎✨
She came to me with quite a bit of previous breakage, so I knew this correction had to be handled carefully. Healthy hair ALWAYS comes before pushing for a certain result! 👏🏼
We started with Malibu DDL XL + 20 vol for 30 minutes, followed by ONE gentle round of Joico Charcoal Lightener + 10 vol. A few stubborn blue pieces were still hanging on 😂, but instead of risking more breakage, we worked with them!

Sometimes a color correction is less about forcing perfection and more about knowing when to stop and working with the canvas you have. 🫶🏼
