Years ago, that’s exactly where my journey began. I started wondering about those long ingredient names. Were they necessary? What purpose did they serve? Were they ingredients I wanted to use every day?

Those questions led me down a path of research that continues today.

That’s one reason you’ll often see us list both the scientific name and the common name of ingredients whenever possible. We believe you shouldn’t need a chemistry degree to understand what you’re putting on your skin.
