Curious about sugaring? Here’s a before and after underarm sugaring I did. We use an all natural organic sugar paste from Sugaring NYC that we absolutely love.

Sugar paste is water-based and penetrates more deeply into the follicle (rather than sitting on the surface like traditional wax). By grabbing hair at its base, the sugar paste makes it easy to gently slide the hair out. If it didn’t grab the hair with the root it will LEAVE it! And you will have to reapply sugar paste again on these hairs for them to be properly removed! This way, the entire hair is extracted without any breakage. It will remove your hair (even the itty-bitty short ones) as it gently exfoliates only your DEAD skin.

Made with only sugar, water and lemon, Sugaring, is an all natural method of body hair removal. There’s no need for sticks and strips to be used because with traditional sugaring (ball method), you apply the sugar in the opposite direction the hair grows, and flick off same direction of hair growth. This extracts the hair from the bulb leading to finer, slower re-growth, and leads to diminished hair growth. Unlike waxing, when extracting from the hair’s opposite direction, it creates a breakage at the surface, leading to ingrown hairs.
