208 pressed uniforms, polished boots, and packed lunches later… my AMAZING husband is a SAFD Firefighter!! He has had the most intense 30 weeks of his life. There has been so many hard times, but also so much growth over that time. He has been pushed to his limits so many times, yet has exceeded expectations at every turn. I’m so incredibly proud of the man he is and so excited for the new brotherhood he has joined. The SAFD has been there for my family on the worst days of our lives and this man is dedicating his life to be there for other families in the same way. I can’t even begin to describe what it was like watching him change and grow into the most amazing selfless man I have ever met. I’m so blessed this man is my husband. As he turns the page on the academy and steps into his first shift for SAFD I pray for his safety and the safety of every person on his crew. Congratulations to every member of 25 Alpha!! Rhett, welcome to the San Antonio Fire Department!
