Main Street Barbershop is thankful and grateful for our customers and community. In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday we will be closed, reopening regular hours on Monday, December 1st at 8:00!

💈 Texas Barbering History 💈

In 1945, Mollie Edmonds became the first licensed female barber in Texas.

At a time when the industry was almost entirely male, she broke barriers, opened her own shop, and paved the way for generations of women to step behind the chair with pride.

Her story is a reminder that barbering is more than a craft its courage, legacy, and community.

Friday, August 29th we will be open normal hours 8am- 6pm, walk ins only no appointments necessary! Monday, September 1st, we will be closed, back to normal shop hours on Tuesday the 2nd. Have a safe and wonderful weekend, and

It’s been a busy week at our little shop, but we’re finally sharing from FOW ‘25! It’s always a great time, busy but lots of excitement! We love helping our outfits make those memories with their fish! ❤️❤️ There were some that were way more excited about their cuts and some less than excited 😂🫣 Huge shout out and thanks to our surprise helper (with .runs 😉) for all her help and her BTS pics! A special thanks to our outfits and the barbers ( because they’re amazing, duh! 🙄)
