We all want to be seen and heard but try so hard to fit in that we often lose or hide what makes us unique. Or we don't use our voice or our gifts because they may make us stand out, and that goes against the belief that to be liked and accepted and not judged, we have to be the same as everyone else.
It's hard to be the person other people want you to be.
Sometimes people expect us to BE, ACT, DO, BEHAVE, or RESPOND in a way that is in line and comfortable for them and their ideals but not ours. It's hard to live up to the expectations we put on ourselves, let alone the ones other people put on us.
We are all unique individuals, and that is what we need to remember. There is no perfect. That is an idea that is concocted to make us feel less of who we are and more of who someone else wants us to be.
Our imperfections are what make us unique and authentic and genuine, and enough. It’s better to stand out for being the real version of you instead of a pretend and fabricated vision of perfection.
