Experienced estheticians who are trained in treating deeper skin tones and using advanced peel solutions know — this is nothing to fear. Understanding how specific acids interact with the skin is everything.

There’s a big difference between frosting and blanching.

What you’re mostly seeing here is “frosting” = salicylic acid crystallizing on the skin’s surface. This is superficial and expected.

There’s only a very mild amount of blanching, which refers to protein coagulation within the skin.

Advanced treatments are about intention and expertise. The goal is always to create a controlled injury that stimulates healthy renewal and results.
