what a ride. i don’t know exactly how to put into words what these last 15 years have meant to me (and my family.) to each of you who were a part of my salon journey, thank you. so many of you were there throughout all the stages right alongside with me, and i am indebted to each of you.

this is not a goodbye, but the most heartfelt of thank yous. i love you.

less than a month ago, i gave y’all a bit of a life/summer update. and coming from someone exceptionally type A, i don’t handle it well when my plans get altered.

funny thing about life, we don’t get to be in control like we think. i had every intention of slowly easing back in after surgery and continuing on as planned. and I still will.

but that being said, an extremely compelling opportunity, outside the industry, has presented itself to me. between needs and priorities at home shifting, kids growing into adolescents, and John’s new career and subsequent schedule, I have made the extremely difficult decision to step away from behind the chair.

accompanied by copious amount of prayer and discussion, i assure you it was not a decision i took lightly. y’all have been a tremendous part of a big chunk of my adult life and maturity. I’ve had the pleasure of serving many of you since my pre-motherhood days. you’ve been there through so much - kids and moves and a pandemic and diagnoses and just so very much. and likewise i’ve been honored to be a tiny snippet of your stories as well. we’ve cried together. and prayed together. and happy hour-ed together.

One of the best parts of this industry is how relational it is. many of you have said “you’re like my bartender - you know alllll my things.” i assure you it’s very reciprocal. and while it’s one of the best parts, it makes this all that much harder.

I have felt so connected to so many of y’all over the past 15 years. I cherish discussing current books we’re reading, hearing updates on your kids’ (and grandkids) performances and seeing pictures of your recent vacations. i absolutely do not want to lose touch.

I truly wish I could have relayed the news to each and every one of you in person, but that was simply not feasible. I will be at the salon in some capacity, through the beginning of August. I hope to host a little something on a Saturday or Sunday toward the end of the summer, with the goal of being able to hug your necks one more time.

thanks again, to each and every one of you. thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your lives. I will forever be grateful for the trust and support you’ve shown me, and in turn my family, these past 15 years.

A little bit of a life update, as it's been an insane few months for the Vittas fam. Many of you know, but a lot of you don't.... I have a routine, non emergent surgery scheduled for Monday 5/5. Between needing to be out a bit for that, taking it easy once I'm back, a completely new career and schedule for John and the kids' schedules getting busier and needier, I've stretched myself as much as I possibly can.

If I've been delayed in getting back to you, I truly apologize. If I don't have the availability to schedule an appointment and serve you, I promise it's not intentional. I simply am having to balance maxing out my availability while leaving room for both my physical and mental well being.

I absolutely hate the thought of disappointing any of y'all, but promise I'm doing my best at attempting to juggle all the things.

We're in the midst of the craziest time of year. To everyone on my cancellation list, please know I have not forgotten you. I truly have just maxed out my availability through the end of the year. If/when an appointment becomes available I work my way through the list. As of right now, my first color availability is not until January 22.

Please know I appreciate you all and am doing my best to serve as many of you as my schedule allows. I appreciate you all, so very much.

It's been a whirlwind of a summer.

School starts back in less than 5 weeks. While I have stretched my summer availability as much as possible, as of right now, I do not have any color availability before school starts. A smattering of haircut appointments, but otherwise I am fully booked. (as always, I am more than happy to add you to a cancellation list.)

We blinked and the holidays are here.
Unless someone needs to reschedule, I have zero availability before Thanksgiving and only one or two sporadic appointments available before Christmas.

I know this is a stupidly busy time of year for all of us, but my schedule is just about maxed out as it is. I am more than happy to add you onto a cancellation list, as I’m sure one or two may become available.
