Fitness Friday: Your ankles are keeping your knees hostage. 🛑🦴
If you can’t hit parallel in your squat without your heels lifting, your lower back rounding, or your knees aching, listen up.
Limited ankle mobility is one of the primary drivers of chronic knee pain on leg day. If your ankles can’t bend properly, your body is forced to find that movement somewhere else—usually by overloading the knee joints and stopping you from hitting full depth.
The fix? Clear the ankles to save the knees. When you restore proper ankle dorsiflexion:
Your weight stays distributed correctly
Your hips can sink into a true, deep squat
Your knees stop taking a beating
Stop pushing through bad mechanics. Let’s rebuild your foundation from the ground up. 🏔️

I almost skipped my workout this morning. I woke up, fought the internal battle, and finally told myself: “Fine, you’re just gonna go run a half mile and that’s it.”
But we both know what happens once you actually show up.
That half-mile run turned into the high-intensity circuit workout you’re watching in the background—and it ended up being one of my best sessions of the entire week.
Next time you’re hovering over the alarm clock thinking about skipping out, stop negotiating with yourself. Tell yourself you’re just going to do the bare minimum to get through the door. Once you pull the pin and start moving, your body takes over.
