OLD COLOR SAID “absolutely not” to the silver… so we pivoted. 😂🖤

The goal was a true silver + black + red calico, but previous color through those lighter sections had other plans. And sometimes being a colorist means knowing when to stop fighting the canvas and start creating with it.

So instead of compromising the integrity of her hair chasing a silver that wasn’t happening safely today, we embraced the warmth and made it part of the damn look. 🔥

And can we talk about the placement when you lift that top layer?! THAT is why I love a good hidden color moment.

We said goodbye to some serious length, transformed and or green color this rich red, and finished everything with QOAT for that stupid-good shine ✨ — but most importantly, we created something with longevity in mind so she can head into her move to Arizona without immediately having to worry about her hair.

There’s something extra special about getting to give someone their last transformation before they move away. 🥲 It has been such a pleasure having her in my chair, and getting to send her off looking THIS damn good feels pretty fitting.
