Meet Zongying! She has a beautiful story that led her to working with Starfish Project.
This is her story..
I grew up in a poor village, raised by a coal miner father and a mother who cared for us. Later, I learned I had been abandoned at birth and adopted, something my family had hidden from me.
In middle school, I moved to the city for work and ended up at a bar, not knowing what I was stepping into. One night, a customer trapped and abused me, leaving me feeling broken and hopeless.
I called my cousin, who connected me to Starfish Project. They welcomed me in, gave me safe work making jewelry, and helped me study accounting. For the first time, someone believed in me.

Today, Zongying is a Certified Public Accountant and an Accounting Assistant at the Riverside Branch, it was something she never thought was possible.
