meet kelsey patterson, a 4th-generation colorado native and one of the very first members of the vanguard family. after becoming vanguard skin specialists’ first employee, kelsey spent years helping build the practice before following a new calling with compassion international (Compassion International 🌎), where she now leads a fundraising team that helps mobilize resources for children living in extreme poverty around the world.

for kelsey, community is about more than big gestures. it’s about creating hope, serving others, and finding small ways to make someone’s day a little lighter. her heart for people and her commitment to making a difference have been a part of her story from the very beginning.

faces of clara is a series celebrating the incredible people who make our communities a better place. kelsey was also there in the early days of clara, helping shape the culture and community behind a skincare line created with a bigger purpose: to bring light to the world around us.

kelsey’s work with compassion international has taken her to ethiopia, tanzania, guatemala, and many others, while also making time for one of her greatest passions: traveling. her photos capture pieces of that journey, from her work in communities around the world to personal travels through france and greece, along with a few photos of her beloved newfoundland, björn. ✨
