Hi everyone! Update, I’m still working as a Colorado Springs MUA… and I am still going to be working in this industry for now & until future notice. Without going into too many details, earlier this year I was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow cancer called Primary Myelofibrosis (gradual hardening of the bone marrow). With this information, I was planning to prepare for a bone marrow transplant. But, Jesus was gracious and surprised me with a different plan. When I went to Denver Anschutz to begin the discussion, I was downgraded and offered a new drug to help get my out-of-control platelets back in line. So far it does seem to be doing its job. It’s a long game, lots of monitoring with blood tests, wait-and-see situation. As of now, I’m being told what I’m more likely dealing with is Essential Thrombocythemia, and I should live a long, normal, healthy life taking my meds and managing symptoms! I don’t know why God chose to answer the prayers for healing in this way. But I am grateful…. So humbled… and here to serve Him and the clients He gives me for another season. Thank you for the support and encouragement… and for riding the rollercoaster with me… I know I am blessed to be here and to keep working.
