Nyong’o recently discussed how hard it was to be GF on the pizza-filled set of “A Quiet Place: Day One” in this interview shared by . And while Nyong’o doesn’t have celiac, I think EVERY celiac can relate to this struggle. 😭

What do YOU wish more employers knew about a gluten-free diet? For me, it’s that COMMUNICATION is key—whether that means being told when to expect food trucks or the company buying a premade GF frozen pizza I could cook on foil in the office oven. Cuz something safe is better than nothing. 🤷‍♀️

A healed intestine does NOT mean cured celiac disease. 🙃

After 10+ years gluten free, my latest endoscopy showed “no signs of active celiac”—because my gluten-free diet is doing exactly what it’s supposed to do and allowing my intestine to heal. 🙏

This is also why celiac testing can miss the disease if you’ve already stopped eating gluten. Blood tests look for celiac-related antibodies, while biopsies look for intestinal damage—and both can improve on a strict gluten-free diet, potentially causing false-negative results.

So yes, I still have celiac. And no, this does not mean I can start eating gluten again. 😅

Cuz honestly, one of the BIGGEST unofficial rules of celiac is to keep your hands off our $$$ food if you can eat ANYTHING. 🙄
