Social media has felt so foreign to me since January. I haven’t known how to post, what to post, WHY to post. And when social media is such a huge component in your job that’s a really awful spot to live in.

I am not shy when it comes to posting my opinions on my story because I know it disappears from view after 24 hours. Posting on my feed feels so heavy. I don’t feel right just posting hair anymore.

On Sunday a spark was lit in my soul. The conversations I shared, the love in our salon, the people we met. It all lit a new fire for me.

What is happening in our country is fu**ed up. I alone cannot fix what is happening across our nation. But I can help my community. I can be there for the people in our community who need help amplifying voices. I can love so fiercely.

History has its eyes on each and every one of us. Quit being silent.
