I incorporate gentle neck and shoulder massage to encourage relaxation and prepare my client for the facial massage to follow.

Beyond the relaxation benefits, specific massage techniques may support lymphatic movement, which helps the body manage excess fluid. When fluid accumulates in facial tissues, it can contribute to puffiness. Gentle massage may help temporarily reduce that puffiness and enhance the appearance of natural facial contours.

So why start with the neck and shoulders? The lymphatic pathways in the neck play an important role in draining fluid from the face. Incorporating gentle massage in this area supports the overall approach to lymphatic drainage.
