These are all very important..

1) skin prep is very important to makeup application. And exfoliation is even more important, exfoliating your skin with remove the top layer, leaving a smoother surface. If you don’t your makeup will appear more textured, and look like it cracking a lot more as the day goes on.

2) removing facial hair is a step a lot of people miss even if reminded, removing hair around your lips, brows and sides of your face will make you makeup look smoother, sometimes facial hair will peak through makeup and it doesn’t look as flattering. So this is highly recommended.

3) if you have a special event, don’t get your makeup done in that outfit, a lot of makeup it’s powdery. So it’s better to be safe then sorry! So always wear something comfortable that you don’t mind things falling on to your appointments.

4) Trust the process!! When booking a makeup artist look at their work, if their natural doesn’t match with yours they may not be the MUA for you. Always trust the process though, they always want their work to come out good to be able to showcase it, and the please clients.
