skin tips that will change your life (and skin)
1. You need to use a TINTED mineral sunscreen if you struggle with pigment because tinted spf contains iron oxides that increase the spf rating and blocks blue light which can contribute to increased pigmentation! Try tone smart spf or flex shield spf :)
2. Lower percentage actives daily is better than a super strong one a few times a week! Your skin needs consistency, not skin cycling! Also if your barrier isn’t in tact, everything will be wack!! Use an dew or mandelic acid in am and alpharet for retinoid in pm :)
3. Glutathione has changed my skin for the better, I’ll never be without it! This helps with acne, pigment, dullness, inflammation, and more. Take it 6 days a week! We sell on my website :)
4. Sunscreen is the best thing for dark circles, I recommend total eye from Colorescience because it’s an eye cream, sunscreen, and concealer all in one product and it comes in four different shade :)
5. Unfortunately energy drinks are making your acne worse, cut them out and see how fast your skin clears up! They contain excess amounts of biotin and b12 which are major acne triggers and even those without biotin and b12 are bad because caffeine in general causes your cortisol levels to increase which causes more oil production and increased inflammation!!!
6. Ice your skin 2x a day if you want the best skin of your life! Ice right after cleansing with an ice cube or ice globes, this helps increase circulation and depuff your skin so you can look snatched! It also helps prevent and heal acne and it helps manage pigment and reduce redness, icing is the best thing you can do besides wearing sunscreen every single day (and reapplying)
