This one means a little more than just the tattoo.

This client has been rocking with me for over 10 YEARS. Before Inktopia. Before the shop. Through the growth, the changes, the lessons, and every chapter that brought me to where I am today.

There’s something special about looking across the tattoo chair and seeing someone who believed in your hands and your vision long before everything you prayed and worked for came together.

Today we added John 3:16 — a reminder of faith, love, sacrifice, and everlasting life.

🌹 A FAMILY TREE WRITTEN IN LOVE & REMEMBRANCE 🌹

This piece carries a lot more than dates — it carries people.

Each heart represents someone this family has loved and lost, with their date becoming part of one continuous line. Instead of creating separate memorials, we connected them together, allowing each heart to flow into the next.

At the top sits the rose — a symbol of love, beauty, remembrance, and the life that continues to bloom even after loss. From that rose flows a single line, traveling through each heart and each date until it reaches the final curl at the wrist.

I love the meaning behind the continuous line because although each person had their own life, their own story, and their own time here, they are forever connected through family. ❤️

Loss may change the way someone is present in our lives, but it doesn’t erase the love, memories, lessons, or connection they left behind.

This wasn’t about filling an arm with a tattoo.

It was about giving an entire family a place to remain connected. 🌹❤️

🦋 JUST THE BEGINNING…

This butterfly is only the start of what will eventually become a full outer bicep piece for Corrine, and I can’t wait to watch the entire vision come together. 💜

But what makes this one even more special is the relationship behind the tattoo.

Corrine and her family come to see me every time they travel up from Florida, and the fact that they continue to choose me to create their artwork means more than I can put into words.

Grateful is an understatement. 🖤

There are so many tattoo artists they could choose from between Florida and South Carolina, so having an entire family continue making me part of their trips is something I never take for granted.

And Corrine wasn’t the only one getting tattooed this time! 👀

Another special piece from Corrine’s family. 🥹

A grandma and her granddaughter wanted something that captured their bond in a way that was completely personal to them.

So instead of placing the hearts randomly, we had them hold hands naturally. Each little red heart was tattooed exactly where her granddaughter’s fingers touched her grandma’s hand. ❤️

A moment they can now carry with them forever.

It’s simple. It’s tiny. But the meaning behind it is HUGE.

These are the tattoos I love—the ones where the placement itself tells the story.

And knowing this family continues to make the trip from Florida and chooses me to create these permanent memories makes it even more special.
