💔 Important Announcement 💔
After much thought and reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision to close my salon suite as of 12/6/2025. The rising costs of running a small business have made it unsustainable for me to continue operating in the way I want to — with the care, quality, and personal touch that my clients deserve.
This decision wasn’t made lightly. My salon has been more than just a place to work — it’s been a community, a creative space, and a source of so many beautiful connections. To my loyal clients, friends, and supporters: thank you for trusting me with your hair, your stories, and your time. Your support has meant the world to me. ❤️
While this chapter is coming to a close, I’m looking forward to my next adventure.
If you have an appointment in November it stills stands and any December appointments I will be reaching out to you directly.
If you’d like recommendations for stylists or have any questions about upcoming appointments, please feel free to message me directly.
Thank you again for being part of this journey with me — I’m endlessly grateful. ❤️

On this Memorial Day, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Honor the fallen, but also reflect on the impact it’s had on those left behind.

Women’s History Month 🌼
Another St Louis beauty pioneer !!!
Annie Malone
Lovejoy, IL, early 1900s:
“While experimenting with hair and different hair-care products, she developed and manufactured her own line of non-damaging hair straighteners, special oils, and hair-stimulant products for African-American women. She named her new product “Wonderful Hair Grower”. To promote her new product, Turnbo sold the Wonderful Hair Grower in bottles door-to-door.
In 1902, Turnbo moved to a thriving St. Louis, where she and three employees sold her hair-care products door-to-door. As part of her marketing, she gave away free treatments to attract more customers.
Due to the high demand for her product in St. Louis, Turnbo opened her first shop in 1902 at 2223 Market Street. She also launched a wide advertising campaign in the black press, held news conferences, toured many southern states, and recruited many women whom she trained to sell her products.”
Here’s to you Annie Malone, thank you !!

March is Women’s History Month !!
Did you know we had a great leading female pioneer in the start of the American cosmetology industry;
Right here from St. Louis !!
Edna Emme — founder of TRESemmé hair products
“Edna L. Emme, a beauty pioneer during the 1940s and on, knew the emotional importance of how women feel about their hair. At the same time, she knew the social importance of women joining the workforce. When these two passions of hers came together, the outcome was incredible – Edna founded TRESemmé hair products in 1947.”
Fun fact : My Great Aunt worked at Ms Emme factory in downtown St Louis.
Ms Emme took such a liking to my Aunt Shirley and saw the passion for cosmetology in her that she SENT her and PAID for her to attend cosmetology school. My Aunt Shirl went on to own and operate her own salon for over 50 years, Shr-Jon Coiffures.
Here’s to you Ms Edna Emme, thank you !!
