Everybody loves knotless braids in the summer…
but let’s be honest—most of y’all are not taking care of your hair underneath them.
Knotless braids are lower tension… not no tension.
And they can last up to 10 weeks… but only if you’re doing your part.
If you’re:
* skipping proper prep
* sitting through tight installs
* choosing styles that don’t match your hair density
* not cleansing or moisturizing your scalp
* keeping them in too long
* rushing your takedown
…you’re not protecting your hair. You’re stressing it.

This time…I took a modern calligraphy class with Sip & Script
I’ve always wanted to learn calligraphy, so I finally stopped thinking about it and just went.
We learned the dip pen technique (which is way harder than it looks btw 😅) but once you get the hang of it…it’s actually relaxing.
Not gonna lie—this forced me to slow down. You can’t rush pretty writing.
My rating: 10/10

✔️ Beginner friendly
✔️ You actually leave with a skill
Would I do it again? Yes. Next time I’m bringing a friend and a glass of wine 🍷

It’s so much more to life than working all of the time. Saturdays I truly enjoy DILLYING and DALLYING. Today was so much fun, I got in a lot of fitness. I’m so excited to see where I am with golf and Pilates in 6-8 weeks. Im on a journey yall…..just stick with me.

What’s crazy …my hair isn’t done in this video and I almost didn’t film it. But the message was more important than my looks.
I started Pilates with Michelle and let me just say… this is not a light stretch session 😅
50 minutes of real work.
Intentional movement.
She’s correcting your form, your posture, everything.
It’s challenging… but the kind your body thanks you for.
And honestly? The best part might be the mental reset.
We end every session with “tea time” — just sitting, breathing, coming back to yourself.

I’m sorry that I care more about the health of your hair than how fast I can rush you out of the chair.
I’m sorry that my silk presses last, your curls still bounce back, and people keep asking, “Who does your hair?”
I’m sorry that my installs are flat, secure and painless — so you keep “trying me once” and never leaving.
I’m sorry that my prices match the quality, the products, and the years of education behind every service.
And I’m definitely sorry that my policies protect my time, your results, and the vibe in my salon.
If excellence and boundaries are a problem, I totally understand the inconvenience.
But I’m still going to choose healthy hair over hype every single time.
