Studieaux Heaux
Studieaux Heaux is a full service Aerial Studio in Columbia, SC.
đ⨠I hope this video makes your day as much as it made mine. â¨đ
This sweet (and just a little spicy đ) video came from one of my bonus grannies in the Moxie Movez program in Baltimore, Maryland, and I couldnât wait to share it with all of you.
If you havenât heard of Moxie Movez, we are proud to offer it right here at Studieaux Heaux!
Created by the amazing Mica Saunders, Moxie Movez was born from love. After the passing of her beloved grandmotherâwho had always been one of her biggest supporters in her pole journeyâMica created a program that celebrates movement, confidence, joy, and sensuality for seniors.
Because hereâs the truthâŚ
There is no age limit on feeling fabulous.
There is no age limit on learning something new.
There is no age limit on feeling sexy, strong, playful, and connected to your body.
Thatâs exactly what Moxie Movez gives back to people.
Watching this beautiful woman own the pole with so much confidence and personality reminds me why I believe so deeply in this program. It isnât just about pole dancingâitâs about giving people permission to reclaim a part of themselves that the world often tells them theyâre âtoo oldâ to have.
At Studieaux Heaux, our Moxie Movez performers are some of the brightest lights in every showcase, and they inspire all of usâregardless of age.
Thank you, Mica, for creating something so meaningful and for reminding us that confidence, joy, and a little bit of sass never grow old.
I hope this beautiful granny inspires you as much as she inspires me. đâ¨
đ Sometimes the bravest thing you can do isnât landing a new trick.
Sometimes itâs simply showing up.
Before I say anything else, I want to acknowledge how incredibly brave it is to post your journey online. Itâs easy to wait until everything is polished and perfect before letting the world see it. Itâs much harder to let people watch you grow.
And thatâs exactly what happened here.
This class wasnât easy.
Over the course of an hour, there were highs and lows, frustration and joy, confidence and doubt. At any point, she could have decided sheâd had enough. She could have packed up and gone home, and if she had, I would have completely understood.
But she didnât.
She stayed.
She let herself feel every emotion without pretending it wasnât there.
And then something beautiful happened.
As the emotions settled, her body found itself again. She stood taller. She moved with more confidence. She looked graceful, strong, and completely present.
Nothing magical changed in her strength during that hour.
What changed was that she gave herself permission to move through what she was feeling instead of running from it.
Thatâs courage.
So if you ever find yourself having one of those days in class, remember that you have options. Going home is always okay. Taking care of yourself is always okay.
But sometimes⌠if you can stay present just a little longer, if you can let the emotions come and go without fighting them, you might discover that thereâs another version of yourself waiting on the other side.
Iâm so proud of youânot because of the tricks you did, but because of the way you showed up for yourself.
That kind of strength will carry you far beyond the pole. đâ¨
⨠The little details are what make the big skills feel easy.
This is the lovely Emily working on one of my favorite progressions in Pole Level 2:
Outside Leg Hang â Pike â Scorpio
When I teach this sequence, we donât rush through it. We learn each piece individually, making sure every position is strong before we move on to the next.
Last night, our focus was the pike.
One thing I see all the time is students taking their straight leg and simply pulling it forward into position. Theyâll get there⌠but theyâll miss the opportunity to use the pole and physics to their advantage.
Instead, I teach them to sweep that leg in a big half circle around the pole. That little change allows the pole to settle deep into the hip crease, creating tension and locking the position in much more securely.
Itâs a small adjustment.
But small adjustments are often what transform a move from âI can kind of do itâ into âIâve got it.â
Once everyone started finding that position, we couldnât resist adding the Scorpio at the end. đ
Weâll clean up the transitions next week, but I think Emily did an incredible job. Every class, sheâs building not just stronger tricks, but a deeper understanding of why they work.
And thatâs where the magic happens. đâ¨

⨠This might be my favorite part of the whole dayâŚ
After we wrapped filming the Sahara Dry commercials yesterday, we turned the cameras back on and simply told everyoneâŚ
âFreestyle.â
No choreography.
No direction.
Just music, movement, and a room full of incredible humans expressing themselves.
This is why I love Studieaux Heaux.
Different bodies.
Different styles.
Different backgrounds.
Different ways of moving.
And somehow, when everyone dances together, it becomes something even more beautiful.
Watching this reminds me why we do what we do. Itâs not about being perfect. Itâs about finding joy in movement, celebrating what your body can do, and sharing that experience with other amazing people.
If youâve been watching from the sidelines wondering if thereâs a place for youâŚ
There is.
Weâd love to have you join our community.
Come dance with us. Every BODY belongs in the air⌠and on the dance floor. đâ¨
đŹâ¨ Lights. Camera. Action. â¨đŹ
For one day, Studieaux Heaux transformed into a full-blown commercial set!
Cameras, lights, action, and an incredible team came together to film a series of commercials for Sahara Dry Pole Grip Products, and I couldnât be more excited about how everything turned out.
A huge thank you to Media by Jai, Sahara Dry, and all of our amazing models who brought so much energy, professionalism, and personality to the shoot. You all made the day so much fun.
Iâm incredibly proud that Studieaux Heaux was chosen to be part of this project, and I canât wait to share what weâve been working on.
Stay tuned⌠there are plenty more behind-the-scenes photos, videos, and the finished commercials coming soon! đĽđâ¨
đđ Congratulations, Anslee! đđ
Today, Anslee graduated from Pole Level 1 to Pole Level 2 at our Quarter 2 Graduation, and I couldnât be happier for her!
One of my favorite traditions at Studieaux Heaux is Graduation Day.
Every quarter, students who are ready to level up create a choreographed routine using the required skills from their current level and perform it in front of their fellow graduates, instructors, friends, and family.
Itâs so much more than a skills test.
Itâs where technique starts to become artistry.
Itâs where students begin to discover their own style, their own musicality, and their own way of moving.
Ansleeâs performance was absolutely beautiful. She looked confident, strong, and completely at home on the pole, and it was such a joy to watch all of her hard work come together.
Congratulations on this incredible milestone, Anslee! We canât wait to see everything you accomplish as you begin your journey through Pole Level 2.
Keep climbing, keep dancing, and keep shining. Weâre so proud to have you as part of the Studieaux Heaux family. đâ¨
đĽ Letâs talk about sex⌠and your nervous system. đĽ
No, seriously.
What if I told you that your ability to experience pleasure, intimacy, confidence, sensuality, and connection has less to do with technique⌠and more to do with whether your nervous system feels safe?
Thatâs exactly what weâre exploring in Feeling Yourself.
đ
July 18
đ 2:00â5:00 PM
đ˛ $50
đˇ Optional drinks & dinner afterward for anyone who wants to keep the conversation going.
Using the principles of Be Activated, weâll learn simple nervous system activations that help your body shift out of stress and into a state where connection becomes possible.
Then weâll dive into the fun stuff.
⨠Why do some people feel completely at home in their bodies while others donât?
⨠Why does pleasure come easily for some people but feel out of reach for others?
⨠How does stress affect intimacy?
⨠What role does your nervous system play in your relationship with yourself⌠and with a partner?
This isnât a lecture.
Itâs a conversation.
Weâll laugh.
Weâll learn.
Weâll probably blush a little.
Weâll challenge a few ideas.
And I have a feeling youâll leave understanding yourself in a way you never have before.
If youâve ever wanted a workshop that blends neuroscience, movement, real-life conversations, and just the right amount of spiceâŚ
This is it. đśď¸
Come curious.
Come open-minded.
Come ready to feel yourselfâin every sense of the phrase. đ
Registration is open now, and I cannot wait to share this workshop with you.
