For the past year, my skin has been trying to tell me something… and I’m finally listening.

What I thought was just “sensitive skin” turned out to be *sensitized* skin — and there’s a difference. Sensitized skin isn’t a permanent skin type, it’s a condition. It can happen to anyone when your skin barrier gets compromised, and once it does, everything starts to feel like too much.

For me, it looked like constant redness, burning after applying products that used to be fine, random breakouts, tightness, and irritation that just wouldn’t go away. My skin felt reactive to EVERYTHING! ☠️

Over-exfoliating, mixing too many actives, stress, weather changes, and even lack of proper hydration can all weaken your skin barrier. Once that barrier is damaged, your skin loses moisture faster and becomes more vulnerable to irritants and inflammation. 🚨🚨

Healing it hasn’t been overnight. It’s meant simplifying everything — gentle cleansers, barrier-repair ingredients, and actually giving my skin time to rest instead of constantly trying to “fix” it.

With my skin is improving and healing. Their products are gentle and good for all skin types, even if your skin isn’t sensitized. It works by repairing your skins natural barrier, and calming the skin.

If your skin suddenly feels angry, reactive, and unfamiliar… you’re not alone. It might not be your skin type — it might be your skin asking for a change.

I’m excited to take you all on this journey with me to repair our skin barriers, and to slay our skin 🔪🖤

The new home of Skin Slayer! 🔪🖤

Unfortunately, after signing my paperwork, my start date has been delayed three times now, due to the owner extending her vacation. This has resulted in me having to cancel appointments, which is very frustrating and unprofessional. This just isn’t the level of respect or professionalism that I expect to bring to my clients. No hate or disrespect towards this salon, but I have decided to no longer go forward with them.

What comes next…
Well I found a suite. Got my llc, business insurance, and my website is in the process of being opened.

Skin Slayer, opening January 9th. See you there 😘🖤

I’ve been keeping a secret 🤫
I’m going to be renting a suite, and have my own personal space to provide services! I want this space to be a nice relaxing environment, that still feels very me. If you don’t know me personally, I like to say I’m a sweetheart with an edge, and that’s the vibe I want to bring to this space. I’m so excited about this journey, and will be keeping you updated.
Much love, Kimberly 🖤🥀☠️
