I have had so many clients ask me what is the difference between highlights & balayage recently, so let’s talk about it! A balayage is a lived in blonding technique that gives pops of brightness without the high maintenance of highlights (which are typically brought up all the way to the root). Now, this does not mean that foils will never be used to get the “balayaged look”. These pictures are a perfect example of why foils are sometimes needed! To get brighter blonde pieces, foils are needed to trap in heat & allow a longer processing time (so the lightener does not dry out). This way we can get the hair of your dreams💖

My client yesterday came in ready to embrace her grey so we blended her previous grow out with a highlight/lowlight!

This one was a challenge and forced me to use all of my knowledge I’ve gained these past few months (shoutout to all of my educators🫶🏼)

I did a double babylight & low lighted all of the dropout with Shades EQ 6T, and followed with a global toner of 9P + 9V + Clear

I am so happy with these results & my client is too🤗
