So did a thing! I took her from her level 5 color, to closer to her natural gray tone. 100% gray regrowth starts to show within 2 weeks of retouching. I lifted and toned her in 3 hours. Washing color out 3x and using a hefty amount of color and decolorizer.
Mind you this was only achievable and I was confident in her lift process because
1. She has always used professional color, and only retouches, never pulls color through the ends.
2. I know her hair and her lifting ability, along with the health of her hair. She was prepared to cut if needed.
While this process isn’t for everyone, it turned out fabulous and a fun way to be less maintenance for her, however if she’s sick of being gray, damn right we will color it back to a level 5 brown again! That’s the beauty of haircolor

43 years ago, the woman who started it led us here. 18 years ago you were in my belly as I completed Cosmetology school at Xenon. This year you’ve had many stressful, plan changing decisions for your life beyond High School.
But the day in the kitchen when I asked you if you would want to do hair, and you said “I think I’d like to.” Will be one I’ll remember forever. Seeing the smile on your face walking out of the college visit, me and your dad knew this is what you are meant to do. Your creativity, empathy, and intelligence will help you to build a successful career. We are so proud of you Carter, as you start Barbering school at Xenon this fall. 🖤

These girls that I share my work home with are very much family. They’ve been there for me and my Olsufka family so much through the years and especially through 2024. There will never be words I can say that comes close to the amount of thanks and love I have for my salon family as they carried me through the most painful year and loss of my brother Craig. 🖤

Let me reintroduce myself! I’ve been behind the chair as a licensed hairstylist for 17 years. I opened the doors to in 2012. From there Salon.cek grew to the amazing 16 other licensed professionals I work with today. Those women and their families are my second family, to my husband and 3 beautiful children. In 2020 I became a and only use non toxic hair products, my clients and my own health have never been better! As some of you may know by now, my older brother Craig, had a devastating diagnosis of ALS earlier this year. We are still seeking answers and opinions of many medical professionals. We will never stop fighting for him, my amazing sister in law Beth and his beautiful children, Elijah, Olivia & Ellorie.
