Tonight I was honored to be named Runner-Up for Best Hairstylist in Bartholomew County — and my heart is so full. 💛

I’ve been a hairstylist for just under 10 years. I was only 19 when I met a bulk of my amazing clients — and somehow, they’ve stuck with me through all the triumphs and trials, in both their hair and my life. They’ve watched me grow (literally before my brain was even fully developed 😂), and they’re still here, loving and supporting me. Along the way, I’ve picked up even more incredible people, and I wouldn’t change a single part of the journey.

This career started as something I thought would be flexible and temporary… but now, I truly can’t imagine my life without it. 💇‍♀️ My job is my passion, my purpose, and one of the greatest treasures in my life. The relationships I’ve built, the personal growth I’ve found, the love I have for education and this industry — it’s indescribable.

I may not have taken home the “win,” but the pride I feel standing here at 27, reflecting on everything I’ve accomplished, is absolutely incredible.
