This is from my first solo retreat that I lead in nature. Yes I co-led a super fun Kauai retreat before this. But…this retreat, this was the one where I realized the importance of what nature teaches us. When we get quiet we have the opportunity to listen to the symphony of nature. The bugs, birds and trees. Our breath, our intuition. It’s a relearning of connection to the earth so that it can help show us the way. 📣Announcing a day retreat next month!!! 1 hour south of the city. Come join me for a mini retreat. I get it, financially full retreats are tough! And then add in time off work it’s not accessible for everyone. So here is a bite sized taste of all retreat goodness. Trees, a trail, journaling, connecting to self and others, nature, pranayama, meditations and yoga of course. And of course a goodie bag. I’m not saying everyone needs to sequence this way, it’s just an idea of how we can truly make classes accessible. It’s also a way to give creative space to students within the container of class. So if you are working through an injury or a mobility situation and just want to be in class, come. I’m fine if you do your own thing, I’ll help you find your own flow. Being in community can be very healing.
Today I feel like we might need a simple little joy. I bring you Abby playing with a tomato. Yes she pauses to make sure I’m watching her.
