Truth! Your thoughts create your reality. When you say or write your thoughts, you are sending those intentions out and then your vibration will be mirrored back to you. If you're complaining, expect more things to complain about show up. If you say, things are always working out for me, then they will.

My sister and I are caregivers for our Mom, who has dementia, and is recovering from surgery after fracturing her hip from a fall. Mom needs supervision 100% of the time now and assistance with all everyday tasks. It's a full time job with no pay, but we have each other for support. I love that this article discusses the often silent role that caregivers provide.

"According to a study by AARP and The National Alliance for Caregiving there are 63 million Americans providing care to others. One in 4 Americans is a care giver." That's a lot of people. What my sister and I experienced first hand is that there aren't enough reputable, safe, well staffed rehabilitation facilities available to care for the elderly, especially with dementia. We chose to bring Mom home because the "good" rehabs either were full, or didn't take her insurance. This is a service industry that fails to provide much needed care and peace of mind for families.

We have chosen to care for Mom at home. She will be receiving home care visits from PT, OT, nursing, personal care and supervision. Mom also feels better being home in her comfortable, familiar environment. And we feel better knowing she's safe with us. Care giving is a team effort.

Another part of care giving is making sure the giver has time to care for themselves. "Caregivers need support too because it can become a strain on them to help others especially over time." I learned the phrase compassion fatigue during a Reiki training. Knowing the signs of compassion fatigue are important for intervention. My family and I are in the process of organizing short term and long term care for Mom, so everyone feels supported and cared for.

I love listening to rain and thunder. Listening to rain actually calms the nervous system. The rhythmic patterns of rainfall shift our bodies to parasympathetic, or restful states. Enjoy the video, I caught the lightning and thunder!

May I be free from resentment and conflict.
May I be free from physical suffering.
May I be free from mental suffering.
May I be free from danger, and may my body and mind be at peace.

May all beings be free from resentment and conflict.
May all beings be free from physical suffering.
May all beings be free from mental suffering.
May all beings be free from danger, and may their bodies and minds be at peace.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. ๐Ÿ™โœจ

The Triple Spiral: Unraveling the Meaning of an Ancient Celtic Symbol ๐ŸŒ€๐Ÿ€

The Triple Spiral, or Triskele, is one of the most enduring and enigmatic symbols of Celtic art and spirituality. ๐ŸŒ€๐Ÿ€

Dating back to the Neolithic era, this mesmerizing motif can be found carved into ancient stones and monuments across Ireland, most famously at the prehistoric site of Newgrange. ๐Ÿ—ฟโœจ

The exact meaning of the Triple Spiral is shrouded in mystery, but it has been interpreted as representing a wide range of spiritual and natural concepts: ๐Ÿ”ฎ๐ŸŒฟ

- The cycles of life, death, and rebirth
- The interconnection of mind, body, and spirit
- The three realms of earth, sea, and sky
- The maiden, mother, and crone aspects of the goddess
- The past, present, and future flow of time

Regardless of its specific interpretation, the Triple Spiral remains a potent symbol of the deep, cyclical wisdom at the heart of Celtic spirituality. โ™พ๏ธ๐Ÿ™
