Watching your kids grow, seemingly overnight, into young men is, well, all the things. It’s fulfillment of dreams you didn’t even know you had. It’s reinforcement of all the time, energy, blood, sweat, love, and tears you’ve poured into them. It’s gut-wrenching realizing the time you have with them under your roof is dwindling.

I pray, as I do every year, that God uses these young men for His kingdom. May you both be shining lights of love to all who cross your paths. May your years be blessed with knowledge, wisdom, love, and joy.

It’s the last first day of school photo for one of my babies who once fit so perfectly in my arms, but now towers over me. Dylan, may this last year of high school wrap up your youth and set your future on a firm foundation. I am beyond proud of the man I see flourishing from within your heart and mind!
