Welcome! Earthly Roots is a small hair salon with high standards. Most everything you see in the studio is recycled or reused.
My idea for Earthly Roots Hair Studio was to create a relaxing environment, while keeping in mind with every step what my impact would be on our planet. The products I carry are free of toxic synthetic fragrance chemicals, they are not tested on animals and most are vegan. I use non-ammonia hair color and herbal henna hair dye.

From one tiny place to another. Earthly Roots is about 300 ft.² and the place I stayed at near my Mom is 200 ft.² My inner children were happy staying there. I felt like a fairy 🧚♀️, lots of magic here ✨ It felt like a doll house at times. The most serene property.

Earthly Roots is committed to fighting injustice by supporting victims of human trafficking and other violent crimes against children & women in our community and beyond.
One of the ways you can participate in this fundraiser is by joining me on Mondays at 5:30pm for a Virtual Women's only Trauma-Informed Yoga Class in the comfort of your home!
This is a gentle yoga class with many options/modifications. I will donate $5 from each person who signs up for a class during the months of November & December to Brigid’s House of Hope!

Every year, Earthly Roots donates your hair clippings to Matter of Trust to be used in the making of hair booms; which soak up oil spills in the ocean. In 2020, we contributed 10 lbs of hair!
One pound of hair can absorb about one quart of oil. 10 quarts = 2.5 gallons of oil!
Many salons, pet groomers and pet owners across the country are stock piling hair for Matter of Trust. So while 2.5 gallons of oil may not seem like much, every bit helps!
Fun Fact: A gallon of oil can be absorbed in less than 2 minutes with a hair boom!

For Your Protection
Although the Governor lifted the mask mandate as of 4/16; Sununu's Safer at Home guidance is still in effect for Cosmetology until 5/7. On 5/7 the new guidelines will be published.https://www.covidguidance.nh.gov/sites/g/files/ehbemt381/files/files/inline-documents/guidance-cosmetology_0.pdf
The city of Concord still has a face covering ordinance as well.

You can expect the same protocol at Earthly Roots going forward. Masks will be required, screening questions and temperature checks to err on the side of caution.
