Today,
I visited you in a memory

I remember the sound of your laughter, and your smile that could light up a dark room

The way your eyes could shine, your warm embrace and the scent of your body

I remember everything

I look up to the sky and can almost hear your voice whispering in my ear
I could feel your presence all around me

I know that you’re watching over me from above

I’m grateful for the time we had together
and for the memories we made

So today as I visited you in a memory, I smiled through my tears , knowing that you’re still a part of me , and that nothing can take that away
