This is my beauty concierge service! Touch-ups are more than just fixing your hair and makeup. Let me explain!

✨️ You have a big time gap from the time we finish hair and makeup, to the time of your ceremony. You may be traveling to your venue during that time, taking family photos, eating lunch - all that will move your makeup and hair.

✨️ You know you will be crying during your ceremony! And maybe your during first looks!

✨️ You decide to have a first look. You want your veil in some photos, but not all. Maybe you need an extra pair of hands holding your bouquet and purse.

✨️ You have a second dress for your reception and want a different hairstyle!

✨️ Maybe your venue has multiple amazing photo locations - your photographer takes you on a few photo sessions before and after your ceremony and into the sunset! Your veil probably moved, your partner might have kissed a little lipstick off of you, and maybe you worked up a little sweat!

✨️ And all the things we cannot control!
-The weather - is your venue windy? Or very hot and humid?
-Do you tend to sweat on your face?
-Does your hair not hold a curl and need a refresher?

Here are my tips to consider when choosing your wedding day hairstyle 👇

✨️ Maintenance - how much maintenance will your hairstyle need throughout the day to keep the look? Do you need to keep moving it in place for pictures?

✨️ Longevity - does your natural hair hold the style, especially if you choose to have a down style? Will you need hair extensions to help hold the look?

✨️ Comfortability - does the hairstyle feel like you? Does it look like you? Will you be comfortable being photographed with your hairstyle?

✨️ Weather & Temperature - this is least thought out tip but so important! Please take into consideration the weather and location of your wedding. Windy beachside? Hot dry summer? Humidity? All this will effect the longevity of your hairstyle!

I recently had this conversation with a good friend about the difference between hiring a bridal stylist for your wedding day vs hiring a non-bridal stylist ....

And what prompted the conversation was, she recently had her hair done in the salon and she said it was frizzy and her curls fell in 1 hour.

And honestly - the short version of my answer - I have over 10 years of experience to make sure the hair stays put through sweat, heat, humidity, wind, rain, movement, and touching. I took many classes dedicated to wedding day beauty. The hair prep is different. The knowledge behind the beautification process is different. The styling part is just half of what bridal stylists learn. We have to be confident in the planning, timing, scheduling, and the 'oh sh*t' emergencies.
