How to Build a Simple Family Skincare Routine with One Bar of Soap (Yes, Really) Back-to-school season has a way of reminding you how complicated life has gotten. The lunches, the schedules, the forms, the pickups, and somewhere in the middle of all of it, the realization that your bathroom counter has seventeen products on it and nobody in the house is happy with their skin. The average person applies over 100 chemicals to their skin before leaving the house in the morning.

Body wash. Shampoo. Conditioner. Lotion. Deodorant. Face wash. Moisturizer. Most of them contain synthetic fragrance, preservatives, and ingredients your skin was never designed to absorb. We're not here to overwhelm you. Just to say: it's worth knowing what's in your products.

The drop in temperature and humidity that comes with the season change is one of the most common triggers for dryness, tightness, and that general feeling that your routine stopped working overnight. It didn't stop working; the weather changed.
