🎀💕 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💕🎀

As many of you know, this month holds a very special place in my heart, and this year it means even more to me. 💗

Breast cancer has affected my family personally, as I’ve had multiple family members battle this disease. I’ve seen how scary, heartbreaking, and life-changing it can be, not only for the person going through it but for everyone who loves them.

Earlier this year, I faced one of the hardest decisions of my life. Due to my increased risk of developing breast cancer, along with my family history, I made the decision to undergo a preventative bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction.

I want to make it clear that I have never had breast cancer. My surgery was a preventative decision to reduce my risk of developing it in the future.

But that doesn’t mean the journey was easy.

Between the surgeries, complications, healing process, and emotional struggles, this year has challenged me in ways I never imagined. Making such a major decision for my health, while knowing what my family members have gone through, was incredibly emotional.

My experience has given me an entirely new appreciation for the importance of breast cancer awareness, knowing your family history, understanding your risks, and advocating for your health.

This is why October means so much more to me than just wearing pink. 🎀

It’s personal. It’s for my family members who have fought this battle. It’s for those who are currently fighting. It’s for those we’ve lost. And it’s for every woman who has ever sat in a doctor’s office scared of what the future might hold.

💕 So, for the ENTIRE month of October, I will be donating 5% of ALL my sales toward breast cancer awareness and support! 💕

Every appointment booked, every service received, and every purchase made will help me give back to a cause that means so much to my family and me.

If sharing my experience encourages even ONE person to learn their family history, get their recommended screenings, ask questions, or advocate for themselves, then it’s worth it.

I may not know what it’s like to personally battle breast cancer, but I do know what it’s like to love people who have, to live with an increased risk, and to make life-changing decisions because of that risk.

You don’t have to have breast cancer for breast cancer awareness to change your life. 💗

Thank you to everyone who has supported me through my surgeries, recovery, and everything this year has brought. Your love and support have meant more than you could ever imagine.

This October, I’m wearing pink for my family, for my own journey, and for every single person whose life has been touched by breast cancer. 🎀
