Eastside Laundry & Tanning

I have been instructed by the Fayette County Department Of Homeland Security & Emergency Management to remove my equipment. The paid FEMA contractor from South Carolina has arrived and has officially taken responsibility for the Flood Debris Collection Site.

It has truly been an honor to serve my community over the past three weeks. I’m incredibly grateful to every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and equipment to keep the site running.

Thank you for stepping up when your community needed you. Your commitment and willingness to help made a difference. ❤️🇺🇸

Connersville Strong! 💪

This morning, we received a huge donation of laundry supplies from Alquina Church and Spokes of Hope.

But this donation is about more than laundry supplies. It’s about two organizations coming together to care for people in our community during an incredibly difficult time.

Their pastor, Rob, shared these words:

“Alquina Church and Spokes of Hope are determined to make a difference and lift the spirits of people in Connersville by reflecting the light of Christ onto people that feel overwhelmed.”

We think that beautifully captures what this partnership is all about.

Thank you, Alquina Church and Spokes of Hope, for helping us continue our free wash services and for being a source of hope and encouragement to our community. Your generosity is making a real difference for families affected by the flood, and we are so grateful to have you alongside us.

This community continues to amaze us every single day with its generosity.

Yesterday, we received our largest donation yet from Grace Community Church of Connersville. Their incredibly generous gift will allow us to continue offering free washes to those affected by the flood well into the future.

We have been truly blessed by the overwhelming support we’ve received. Thanks to so many generous individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations, we feel confident that we now have enough funds and supplies to continue this service for anyone who still needs it.

At this point, we ask that if you are looking for a way to give, please consider supporting one of the many other worthwhile organizations helping our community recover.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, shared our posts, or simply encouraged us along the way. We could not have done this without you. This is what community looks like.

Yesterday, we received an incredibly generous donation from What The Truck food truck out of Richmond, Indiana. They held a fundraiser to help those affected by the devastating floods in Connersville and Cambridge City, and chose to donate some of their proceeds to help provide free laundry services to those in need.

What an amazing idea and such a generous gift to our community.

Thank you, What The Truck, for thinking of our flood-affected families and for giving so generously. Your donation will help us continue providing free washes to everyone impacted by this devastating flood.

We are so grateful for the businesses, organizations, churches, families, and individuals who continue to step up and support our community. It truly takes a community to get through something like this, and we are seeing that community come together in an incredible way.

Thank you for helping us keep the washers running and helping our neighbors get back on their feet.

The free washes are still going!

FREE WASHES FOR FLOOD-AFFECTED FAMILIES

Every day from noon–7 PM
While funds are available

If you’ve been impacted by the flood and still need help getting your clothes clean, please come see us. We’re happy to help.

Every time we start getting low on funds, another donation comes in. We are incredibly grateful for our latest heroes:

Hanna Creek Christian Church
Brett Leisure

Thank you to everyone who has donated to help families affected by the flood. Your generosity has made it possible for us to provide this service, and we know how much it has been appreciated by those who have needed it.

The need for free laundry has greatly diminished, which is a wonderful sign that our community is beginning to recover. At this point, we know there may be other services and organizations that are in greater need of support, so we encourage everyone to continue helping wherever they feel their contribution can make the biggest difference.

Our thoughts continue to be with everyone affected by the flood. We’re grateful that we’ve been able to help our community in this small way, and we’ll continue as long as there is a need and funds are available.

*****NEW HOURS*******
As everyone has made progress in the clean up, the traffic has really slowed down. So this week the hours will be reduced.

I want to give a big shout out to the volunteers over the weekend, Chip Oder a good friend, mentor, and operator came all the way from Ohio to volunteer; also my dad, Bryan Sasser, and Jeff Cook from Cook's Earthscaping LLC. Your willingness to help our community means a lot to all of us!!
