One of the most important things that make people feel confident is their hair, right? This is why it’s so crucial to research and find a stylist that will best fit your needs. In the pic on the left, her *previous* stylist was trying a new technique and continuing her education, as we all should be doing. Sometimes, it might not come out the way we were planning but that doesn’t mean we don’t fix our mistakes that might have happened.

Now with that being said, we all have our good days and bad days. Not every look we create is going to be our absolute favorite. Give each hairstylist at least one chance to prove his/her worth then go from there!

Your stylist should also be fully focused on you and not make you feel as though they rushed just to get to the next client. You should be their top priority from start to finish!

A couple of ideas to help find a good hair salon are, asking for word-of-mouth referrals, looking at the website and at reviews. Maybe even have a consultation and visit the salon! A group of happy hair stylists usually means a good owner/operator who cares and invests in their team.

Has your stylist ever asked if you wanted a Root Tap, Root Smudge, or Root/Color Melt & you were utterly confused? I get it!! Stylists have our own language and it can be slightly confusing so let me break it down for you!🥳

Root Tap🙌🏼: Wanting to look as blonde as possible, visible highlights on root, with a soft grow out!!

Root Smudge🤤: Wanting to still be bright but with the rooty type look, low maintenance, easy grow out!!

Root/Color Melt🙋🏼‍♀️: Deep rooted, sun kissed look, gradual transition!!

For the babe above, I did a root smudge & created a low maintenance but high impact look!!
