My sister had a great idea for increasing social connection. Zoom is a program that allows group video and audio meetings. It is free. I’m not aware of any limit as far as how many people can be on a meeting. It can be set up on a recurring basis and a calendar appointment with the meeting link can be sent to all participants. One can join via computer or phone. If by phone, there will be no video. So it’s like FaceTime for a group. The meeting can be recorded so it can be shared with people who can’t be present. If you have a Mac, you do not want to download Zoom. Just join through the browser. Enjoy and keep in touch!

Hello everyone. During this time of increased social isolation, I encourage you to make efforts to engage virtually. FaceTime, Zoom, and many other free apps are available. Even a plain old telephone call. Social isolation is a terrible thing and causes/increases depression. Be good to yourselves. Take care of yourselves. And reach out to others. Love, Valerie
