Ok, many of y’all know I don’t post my personal business on Facebook but I figured this is the best way for me to get the word out right now. I’m actually laying in a hospital bed right now the past few months have been super crazy for me and my family and now my body is saying STOP! With this being said, I’m gonna have to make some adjustments to my lifestyle and work schedule so please PLEASE call and make appointments in an appropriate amount of time because I may be cutting back on the days that I’m in the salon for a while until I can get my health back on track. I love y’all and I love what I do I just ask everyone for a little patience at this time.

Another day another blonde 👱‍♀️

I’m gonna make this post every few weeks up until December but as many of you know, Christmas Eve is kelis’ birthday and I never schedule appointments for that day and I normally take off Christmas Day and the day after but this year I will be off the full week of Christmas from Sunday Dec. 22nd-Sunday Dec. 28th so any appointments needed must be booked before then, now I won’t work Center Stage Hair by Tasica that week but will work Center Stage Creations that week to get all Christmas orders filled and delivered on time now with that being said now is a great time to contact me for some great Christmas gift ideas or to personalize Christmas items for you and your family, (stockings, pajamas, tree skirts etc.)

I know this has been a hard and stressful week on everyone right now and I know I can’t do a whole lot but I can do this, if you have been without lights and water call me I will be at the shop tomorrow and I will be more than happy to shampoo and blow dry your hair, I know it’s not much but at least you can feel a little cleaner and come and sit in the cool air for a little while.

Please don’t take this as a rant because I promise it’s not, I just need for a lot of you to be aware of some things. Speaking for myself as a stylist, (and I’m sure a lot will agree) please don’t ask me to recommend products from the grocery stores or Walmart simply because I did not spend the last 30yrs in this industry investing in product knowledge classes and continued education learning about salon based products that are specifically formulated for your hair type. I know absolutely nothing about drugstore products outside of how bad they can be for your hair but what I do know is that it makes no sense to invest $100+ to achieve the haircut and color you want to then go and use a $5 bottle of shampoo that is full of salts, wax & sulfates that are only going to fade your color faster, (yes even the ones that say color safe) dry your hair out even more or leave so much of a wax buildup (Pantene & Dove are full of it) that when you go to blow dry or flat iron your hair it’s burning it. I promise you, you’re doing yourself a disservice by going the cheaper route, yes you may save a few dollars but you’re buying these products way more frequently than you would a salon quality product that is more concentrated and you don’t have to use as much. Your color and style will last you a lot longer therefore allowing to go longer in between salon visits. Just a little food for thought.

Ok I’m just gonna put this out there because this is the 2nd time I’ve heard it this week. If your baseball player is wanting to lighten (bleach) his hair with his teammates this summer they cannot I repeat THEY CANNOT perm their hair also! They will sport a buzz cut to the World Series because their hair will fall out! Either lighten it or perm it but you can’t do both!
