Dave's Barber Shop

So if you guys are friend with Dave on FB, be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday on Wednesday. He will be 55. God is good to us. When I think of what could have been I get very emotional. Life is so so different and Dave is so different than before, but he is here, and I just keep believing for God to continue working in that brain of his.

Hi friends to Dave's Barber Shop. Dave is doing well, he is walking about 2 miles a day, has lost some weight (that he gained after we brought him home) He still battles with anxiety Still praying that he will completely get past that someday. Thanks for all of your support. I know Dave misses all of you!

February 1, 2018, in 2 weeks it will be a year since we brought Dave home from the nursing home. He is doing well, still working on the brain injury issues, processing, etc. Health wise he is doing good, he walks every day around the block he is up to 6 times around it now. He still hasn't attempted to cut hair at all, but we keep hoping and believing that he will be able to cut hair again some day. We appreciate all the prayers of our friends and the friends Dave made as he cut your hair. God Bless. For those who don't know, we are no longer living in Conway, we moved to Booneville, to be near my family (Cindy) Dave's mom passed away in September the same week we moved, so it was a hard decision but it has been a good move for us.

HAPPY ONE YEAR LIFEAVERSARY David Loven November 10, 2016 changed our lives dramatically. That happens when your husband falls dead in his shop. BUT GOD! God wasn't finished with Dave yet. The enemy tried to kill him, but God gave him life. And it is LIFE more abundantly.

So an update on Dave. We see lots of his customers while we are out and about. People are always thrilled to see him. Seems there were some who thought he died. Well stayed dead, I guess is the correct term. Anyhoo on July 10th we will be 8 months since Dave fell ill. Physically he is doing very well. Still walking with a cane, that fall in early May set him back with his steadiness, but his leg is healed completely, his pacemaker/defib is doing what it is supposed to be doing, and no crazy shocks to report. :-D Dave says YAY to that. He still has memory struggles and thought processing struggles but those will come, he is in speech therapy to help with that too. Over all he is doing good, just frustrated with the "brain" stuff. (He never was overly patient ROFL says the wife.) Keep up your prayers we still need them. God has been so good to us, healing, provision, we know He won't fail us now. God Bless You All!

Here is Dave 4 days after surgery. He is not fond of the sling, but has to wear a couple of weeks.

Well, we have passed the 6 month date of Dave's heart incident. I am sure you have noticed the Barber Shop is closed. We will be closing this page soon. Dave had surgery last Friday, he got a pacemaker/defibulator combo. He is doing well physically, we still have some mental issues to get past, but we are confident that God will finish the healing he began in Dave.

Well we are 9 days away from the 4 month mark, Dave is home, doing well, still a ways to go, but God is awesome and we can do nothing but thank Him for the miracles we have seen these past 4 months.

I just want to take a moment and wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas! Thank you for all your prayers for David and I as we walk through this new challenge in our lives. Keep praying and believing for a miracle for Dave. We are!!
