The last two weeks have been BUSY! Thank you to every client I have seen at Massage Conway and the wonderful group of students I have the pleasure of teaching every week at Body Wellness Massage Academy.
I truly enjoy what I do and I'm thankful to have the opportunity to not only pursue my own career, but guide the next Massage Therapists in their education.
One thing you’ll learn about me, Jamie, is that I’m a BIG believer in always learning, growing, and trying something new.
I went to college and became a speech therapist—and I’m still licensed! 😉 Over the years, I’ve worked, volunteered, and jumped into all kinds of adventures.
Then in 2020, I decided to chase a dream of my own and became a Licensed Massage Therapist. 💆♀️
And honestly? I’m so glad I did.
Every client I work with teaches me something. Every class I take adds to what I can offer. I’m always looking for ways to learn more and become a better therapist for the people who trust me with their care.
So today, I’m challenging YOU:
Go learn something new!
Take a class. Learn a skill. Start a hobby. Try something you’ve always been curious about.

26 years ago today, I was in a class beginning my last year of grad school. Nothing special happened.
25 years ago, I was in week three of my first years teaching at Greenwood Intermediate. I had 2 sweet little boys, Chris and Richard in my class. The principal came over the intercom and told us to turn on the news. History was in the making. Minutes later we watch the 2 plane hit the twin towers. The next word over the intercom was to turn off the tv and resume class.
With my job having a little more flexibility than most teachers, I was able to keep up with the news a little more than some.
As a reminder, cell phones were relatively new and used to make calls. Service was spotty.
Alan Jackson's song "where were you when the world stopped turning" was hauntingly sung a few days later on a stage with a guitar. People remember. I was 23 years old and the world changed forever.

Guess who's taking another continuing education class? I'm excited to get to travel to Nova Scotia for this class. I'm looking forward to learning a new approach to pain relief.
You may have noticed lately that I'm not available for booking on Tuesday. I'm not just taking it easy, I'm teaching the next fabulous group of massage therapist at Body Wellness Massage Academy. Don't worry. I'm not going Massage Conway is going strong. You may have to schedule ahead to get your favorite time slot.

Guess who I found today? A rare moment when all the massage businesses owners at Zendora were in the same room.
