CLOSED BUSINESS, Retired. Moved out of NY.

By definition, a "White Christmas" requires at least 1" of snow on the ground at 7am Christmas morning. Most of the time, this is reasonably representative. But it does open the door for a few odd quirks (and I'm all about odd quirks). For example...

1. Christmas Day is 70° and sunny, but half a foot of snow fell on Christmas Eve. An inch of that snow survived the night to 7am, then melted by 8am and you're wearing shorts all day. That would qualify as a White Christmas.

2. A snowstorm occurs on Christmas Day but doesn't start until later in the morning. As a result, no snow on the ground at 7am. It then snows several FEET on Christmas Day. That would not qualify as a White Christmas.

Long story short, there is no part of the definition of a White Christmas that necessitates it actually snowing on Christmas. Only that there is at least 1" on the ground from...whenever. Weird, huh?

Please be kind to others and to yourself.

5 more days, and we will be on our way to our new house in SC
