Crazy what a haircut can do to your mental state. My sweet friend Emily had been growing out her hair, went in for a ✨trim✨, and walked out with a chop job. Truly, I haven’t seen a haircut this bad in a long time. This was a person she had been to many times before. I offered extensions as well as trying to blend it out so she could keep the length she had left, but ultimately Emily decided she wanted to start fresh, so that’s what we did! Luckily, short hair looks amazing on her! Her sparkle is back!!
This and yappin about space movies. Just girlie things.
Extensions aren’t just for length! If you’re struggling with:
• your hair falling flat
• not holding a curl
• feeling oily hours after you wash
• Lacking the volume and fullness you used to have
(Or never had but always wished for)
I can help you with that!! Extensions are more affordable than you probably think. If you’ve been wondering, book a consultation and let’s chat! 🤎

These are my Holy Grail extension tools for installing wefts! 🙌
Full transparency: I’m an educator with Nue Hair Co, so I may be a little biased, but no one is forcing me to use the tools…I just truly prefer them! My workspace is neater and my workflow has improved using this kit. I actually have tons of pliers and hair pins just taking up space in my station. I should probably do something about that. 🤭 The looper tool is stunning, but a little heavier than what I’m used to, so I usually stick with my generic 10 pack looper tools from Amazon.
If you’re still here, I’d love to know your must-have tools! I’m always open to working more efficiently.

Patiently waiting for all the summer blondes to come out of hibernation.
While we wait, here are my top 3 tips for maintaining your blonde through the winter: 👇👇👇
1️⃣ Go easy on the purple shampoo: in fact…just ditch it all-together. Blonde hair is typically more porous, so it sucks up pigment quicker, resulting in dull, drab looking blondes over time. Purple shampoo tends to be on the harsher side and can strip the moisture right out of your hair, which results in even higher porosity.
👉Instead, opt for a hydrating purple masque. Aluram makes a super rich purple depositing hydrating masque and we happen to have some in stock .spa. Don’t overdo it with this either though! Once every few washes is plenty.
2️⃣ Turn down the heat on your irons & use heat protection. Hot tools are made for everyone. They’re not manufactured for specific hair types, the way products are. Your blonde hair doesn’t need as much heat as someone with an extremely coarse, more resistant hair type. And always use heat protection before applying heat!
👉I love Heat Protection spray. It protects up to almost 450 degrees, adds shine, and even has a little bit of hold to help your style keep its shape! 3-in-1 = more bang for your buck!
3️⃣ Get regular trims. 🫣 I know, I know…trim is the ultimate 4-letter word for some of yall. But you need it! I promise, those 3 strands that you can pull down to your butt are NOT a representation of your “length” when the I can see through your hair at your bra line, ladies.
👉Try this: Hold the last 2-3 inches of your ends up. If they flop over, you’re probably good, but if those ends are still pointing to the sky, CUT👏 THEM👏 OFF 👏 SISTER!!
Fine hair blondes need a trim every 6-8 weeks
Denser strands should trim every 8-12 weeks.
🤓👆bonus tip for the nerds!
If no one’s ever told you, keep your hands out of your hair girlfriend. Especially for the finer hair divas! The more you touch, pull, tuck, flip, fix, or mess with your hair, the more breakage you’re likely to have. Those old curtain bangs that you keep tucking behind your ears and they “just won’t grow”? 🫵That’s you, mama. 🫶
Starting 2026 off with a fresh restock.
