Rhonda’s Bio

As a child Rhonda Marte Perkins would exchange hair services for candy, so she’s always known that hair is her true calling. Originally from New York, this mid west transplant and 30-year industry veteran now calls Lansing, Michigan her home. Heading up the artistic, education and business aspects, Rhonda Has joined Consolations Barber and Beauty Salon. In her gift Rhonda stands firm on total hair care first before, offering a very wide array of creativity, cut, color, styling and texture services. Although a very well accomplished cutter, colorist and strong finisher, Rhonda personally loves customizing hair color and finds herself drawn to the medium. She uses lowlights to add depth and highlights through warm tones to brighten and add shine. Offering fun and creative foil placement including chunking and slicing, she provides dramatic impact to hair by adding bright, trendy shades to natural hair color. She also likes to use chunking or slicing for peek-a-boo results as well. Rhonda and her scissors are as one as she is cutting and shaping hair styles, a symphony is created and a master piece blazes the trails of hair art. As a strong finisher her styles are created from inspiration of many influences, tangible and intangible. She is known as the director of hair her mother says every time you are doing hair it’s is as if you are directing a symphony. Rhonda is also a veteran educator with over 18 years under her belt. Always wanting to be a part of the solution and a true believer in Hairdresser power, she spends her spare time teaching for ENJOY Professional Hair Care, Matrix, and now Basic (Draga Laboratories). Rhonda believes that with out team work the dream will never work so as she consults each client each and every time an appointmentis met each client is educated about hair condition, maitenance and finished look.
