She was shaving every day, sometimes twice a day because of how thick, dark, and coarse her hair was.

Over the course of our appointments, she has noticed her body hair thinning and lightening up. Her razor burn and itchiness after shaving has completely disappeared. Now, instead of shaving twice a day, she comes in every 10 weeks. That’s right, the before picture is over TWO MONTHS of growth! During the winter months, we extend her time between appointments to allow her some freedom with her budget. During the summer, we wax 6-8 weeks so she’s not tempted to shave when she wears shorts.

Let’s talk about lash lifts! One of my favorite services to do EVER!

What is a lash lift?
• a lash lift is a semi permanent procedure in which the natural lashes are chemically treated to remain curled. The treatment typically takes 45 minutes to an hour to complete as the lift solution, neutralizer, and tint (if desired) takes time to process.

So what do you need to know before your lash appointment?

• similar to a perm for your hair, the lifted lashes cannot get wet for 24 hours after your appointment. As my best friend, Elle Woods, once said “Because isn't the first cardinal rule of perm maintenance that you're forbidden to wet your hair for at least 24 hours after getting a perm at the risk of deactivating the ammonium thioglycolate?”

• if you wear contact lenses, opt for glasses the day of your lash appointment. The bonding solution as well as the lift treatment will dry your contact out while it’s in your eye and… well… that’s not good.

• avoid mascara for 48 hours after your lash appointment and avoid waterproof all together. Removing waterproof mascara in general is difficult and that can damage your lashes.

• book all of your appointments, not just lash ones, in advance. If you love your esthetician, chances are so do a lot of other people. Especially with a service that takes up to an hour, it can be difficult to “squeeze” anyone in.

• this treatment typically lasts 6-8 weeks with proper aftercare.

• THIS SERVICE IS NOT EXTENSIONS! This is a treatment for your natural lashes. This service does not add volume nor length. The extra length appearance is from your lashes being curled instead of laying straight.

When the picture can’t do it justice 🥲

This client is a routine lash lift & tint! She gets her lashes done about every 8-12 weeks. You can see her before lashes still have curl and a small amount of tint to them. She originally came in with blonde and stick-straight lashes. My product + her taking care of them at home = lashes that look amazing weeks later.

Let’s talk about BROW LAMINATION:

So what is brow lamination?

It’s a brow treatment that uses a perming solution that’s skin and eye safe to give the brows a fuller, sleeker, and more tamed look. The current trend for this service is the fluffy and feathered look as seen in the after photo. However, lamination can create any brow style you like whether it be fluffy or tamed tapered.

Immediately after lamination, your brows will appear shiny and plastic-like. This will go away while your brow hairs stay in the preferred style.

This service lasts from 4-8 weeks depending on how you take care of your brows.

You need to avoid water, sweat, steam, and makeup product for about 24 hours after your appointment in order to get the absolute best results from your service.
