The Nail Shop is very proud of our recent 100% inspection score from the Tennessee State Board of Cosmetology. We clean and sanitize every day, and try to make your visit as pleasant as possible.

We are selling new individually wrapped KN95 face masks for $1.00 each. Real protection for you and your loved ones. These KN95 masks are manufactured in accordance with industry standards and have been systematically tested to ensure a particle filtering efficiency of at least 95% of non-oily suspended particles of 0.3 microns or larger. They provide a much higher level of protection than a standard cloth or surgical mask. We are offering a quantity discount of 25 masks for $20. Keep several in each of your vehicles. We're working hard to keep you safe and comfortable during your visit to our salon. We always want you to have a pleasant experience with us. Getting your nails done in a hygienic manner is very important right now, so please consider the following:

We've rearranged the shop to accommodate social distancing. Our clients sit at least six feet apart. That is the current state law. If you go to a salon and are asked to sit within six feet of another person other than your technician, turn around and run out of there.

You can enter and exit our salon and maintain the required six foot distance from others. Our large double entry doors are usually open and you don't have to touch them. We try to always have the front and rear doors open to provide maximum ventilation.

The law requires that all salon occupants wear masks, and wash their hands. Our techs also wear rubber gloves. In addition we further sanitize our client's hands and our work surfaces with 70% isopropyl alcohol.

You can watch us sanitize your chair and all three arm rests before you are seated. We use alcohol on these washable vinyl surfaces too. We do this for every customer. If your present salon doesn't clean all the surfaces your body normally touches, after every customer, don't even sit down.

Although not required by law, we have installed plexiglass shields between the technician and client, similar to what is used with cashiers. We also closed The Nail Shop one week earlier than our Tennessee governor Lee required, to protect our beloved clients and technicians. We have always valued the health and welfare of our clients and staff above all else.

The governor insists that we work by appointment only, so I guess this might be the most appropriate place to state the following: PLEASE respect your technician and show up for your appointment, or cancel with as much lead time as possible. There are many people who would be happy to have your canceled spot right now. Our staff are independent technicians who only get paid when working .....so please... no stand-ups if humanly possible. Tomorrow is the big day that we get to reopen. The pictures show acrylic safety shields we have installed on our nail stations for everyone's added protection. When you enter the salon you will notice that we have rearranged the furnishings to accommodate the required social distancing. You will be requested to wash your hands upon entry before being seated, and before you touch any nail polishes. Everyone in the shop must wear a face mask at all times. If you don't have a mask, one will be supplied to you. Please try to arrive for your appointment on time, and by yourself, as no waiting areas or companions are allowed. Walk-ins are not allowed in any Tennessee salon at this time.
We are required to ask you the following questions:
Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
Please be honest with your replies, and reschedule your appointment if you have any contagious illness.
We plan to have all three doors open for maximum ventilation so please wear a sweater or jacket if the outdoor temperature is chilly.

The Nail Shop will reopen Wednesday May 6th. We will contact our frequent clients over the next several days to schedule appointments. Governor Lee has published guidelines which we must comply with. Some of them are the following. We can only work by appointment. No walk ins. No companions or non customer children allowed. No waiting for your appointment in the salon. Masks must be worn by clients and technicians at all times, and social distancing of six feet should be observed. Our self serve bottled drinking waters are prohibited but we will be glad to get you one if requested. We intend to operate with all three doors open at all times, so please dress accordingly. We are working on additional safeguards for your health which we will disclose shortly. Thanks ahead of time for your cooperation. We really look forward to seeing you, even if you're wearing a mask. Governor Lee has postponed salon openings beyond May 1st. The Nail Shop will reopen as soon as we are allowed. We will post any future plans here on Facebook, and you can contact us by calling the shop and leaving a message. We hope to see you soon. Stay safe and healthy.
