Chust Soap

Several years ago I started making my own soaps because I was tired of the skin reactions I was getting from using commercial soaps. These reactions ranged from overly dry skin to hives (it turned out to be due to lauryl/laurel sulfate). (My very first batch of soap combined coconut oil, olive oil and vegetable oil.) I was delighted to see normal looking skin after bathing instead of the usual dry skin and scaliness. I shared it with friends and got a lot of encouragement to continue making soaps. Since then I have learned to love the benefits of using materials from natural sources. As you look through our picture gallery you can see our results. I have also included the list of ingredients used for each product, for those with sensitivities. For instance, the Coconut Almond bar was the result of asking someone if they could tolerate a nationally known candy featuring coconuts, almonds and chocolate. Our soaps and fizzies are produced in small batches in order to have better control over the final product. As a result there may be some subtle color shifts between batches. (This is especially apparent in the Rosemary Citrus soap, which may range from turquoise to purple in the completed soaps. My apologies - it's a quirk of the colorant used.) We hope you enjoy our soaps as much as we do.
