I am sitting here truly near tears looking at the sheer kindness and generosity poured into our foundation today.

Alexandria Garcia (host of the amazing Cozy Kitchen Markets) saw our morning post and showed up in the biggest way possible for our community! She met up with us and blessed Guided Pathway Youth Foundation with 3 massive bags and 2 whole boxes filled to the brim with infant to toddler clothing.

Seeing bags packed full of baby outfits for our upcoming twin boy & girl, along with so many adorable clothes to restock our pantry and surprise our local mamas, touched my heart more than words can say.

Alexandria, thank you for having such a huge heart for our village. You didn’t just donate clothes; you lifted a heavy weight off local mothers' shoulders and reminded us of the power of community showing up for community. Please go show her love, and stay tuned because we can’t wait to partner on future community market events together!

this weekend in a quick recap! 🤪

from celebrating seven years of marriage, working national night out in the rain for my first ever rainy market, a trip to murdoch’s, absolutely not enough drinks, and just being around the people i love. there’s nothing better. 🥹🫶🏽

don’t mind the fact that in the middle of all that i almost had a crash out. ☠️

soooo, be on the lookout for some discounted products because a few things suffered some cosmetic damage during the rainy market situation. 😭 they’re still the same high-quality products inside, they just aren’t quite as pretty on the outside anymore. & if you know me, i’m pretty uptight about that.

anyway, the weekend was full, chaotic, extra cozy, hints my sweats {which will be the only thing you see me in until spring} + time, very well spent.

avocado crema 🥑

another part of the series where “this is almost too easy to call a recipe, but y’all need it anyway.” 😂

we made this for chicken tacos and it takes approximately no effort while making taco night about 12x better.

what you’ll need:
• 1 large avocado
• 1 lime
• 1/2 cup mexican crema
• cilantro to taste, more soap
• salt to taste

to begin:
• mash up your avocado
• juice your lime + add it to the avocado
• add your mexican crema
• sprinkle in your cilantro + salt
• mix everything together until creamy
• store in the fridge until you’re ready to eat

that’s literally it.

could you get fancy with this? yes.

am i going to when this version is simple, quick, delicious + kid approved?

absolutely the f**k not. 😂

pile it onto tacos, burrito bowls, nachos or whatever else needs a little avocado situation. spoonfuls of it are encouraged as well. replace your peanut butter spoons with this. i’m joking. kind of…

i’ve got markets, community events, a car show, trick or treating, and plenty of fall goods coming along for the ride! save this post to see where i’ll be this month.

on october 3, i’ll be at national night out in copperas cove while boo thang & a friend hold down our check in process at the cozy nights series in killeen. then on october 4, our slow sunday morning was cancelled due to weather!

after cozy kitchen market. wraps up on sunday, i’ll be swinging by the fishes & loaves festival by doLampasas to hang at The Market on Third - Lampasas booth! 🫶🏽

the festival runs from noon to five pm, but i won’t make it over until after my kempner market. swing by before 2:30 to meet the other vendors, then stop back by after 2:30 to say hey to me! i’ll have some goodies you don’t usually see in store, plus a few seasonal drops. 👀

two markets in one sunday. i haven’t done this since the belton markets for cozy kitchen. y’all know i can’t sit still, i just love y’all too much!!! 😭

next up, you’ll find me at cozy kitchen market. this sunday from 9 am–1 pm at sylvia tucker memorial park in kempner!

hosting and vending at these markets is so incredibly special to me. this community is welcoming, friendly and always ready to make room at the table. if you haven’t spent a slow sunday morning with us yet, come see what i mean. 🥹🫶🏽

we’re also collecting donations for trick or treat at the table on october 18! if you’re able, bring a bag of candy, small halloween toys or premade goodie bags to help us make the day special for the kiddos. 🎃

seasonal s**t is starting to make its rounds.

somebody coughs three aisles over in walmart + suddenly you’re looking at them like they’ve cursed you… because they probably have at this point. 😭

take a breath has entered the store.

eucalyptus + peppermint.

that classic cool, minty, aromatic combination that just makes sense when you’re having one of those stuffy, congested-feeling days and breathing easy feels like the only thing on your damn wishlist.

and honestly, she doesn’t need anything else.

two herbs. one mug. approximately ten minutes of steeping + hopefully a little bit of peace and harmony. 😂

personally, this is also one of those teas where half the experience is holding the mug close to your face + enjoying all that eucalyptus & peppermint goodness before you even take a sip. use it as a personal herbal steam pot before you even drink. we call that a twofer. 🙌🏽
