It's never too late to start. The body goes through so much with any cosmetic procedure that is why it is so important to get your massages to rid the body of excessive fluids to speed up recovery, relieve aches, pain and stiffness

My recommendation is at least 5 to 7 sessions the first week. Drainage last up to 7 days or longer so having a session everyday starting one day post op will significantly decrease the amount of fluids out the body.
