🔴 What is IPL and how does it work?

IPL stands for intense pulse light and it’s also known as a photo facial. Other terms are BBL (broad band light), Phototherapy, and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL).

🔴 What does it target?

It targets the reds and browns! It uses light energy to combat the visible signs of sun damage like dark spots and broken spider veins. Think unwanted spots and unwanted veins.

🔴 How does it work?

Unlike lasers that break the skin or make tiny microscopic holes in the skin, the IPL can treat damaged skin with minimal down time. A broad band of light is flashed at the skin and without downtime, the dark spots absorb the light and self destruct. It will also cause certain small capillaries to coagulate and collapse and essentially disappear!

We can treat discoloration in your face, neck, chest, shoulders, back, back of hands, and legs.

We can also treat certain red spots caused from sun damage and broken capillaries.

🔴 Does this hurt and is anesthesia required?

There is minimal downtime and there is no anesthesia required for an IPL treatment.
